Below you will find a list of common error messages from various brands. Not all error messages are listed here. It is advisable to also consult the manual of the device.

Kaco OS 2 Insufficient generator voltage and power, status before the transition to night shutdown If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco OS 8 Checks the shutdown of the power electronics as well as the grid relay before feed-in mode. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 10 In case of overheating, the inverter switches off. Possible causes: • Excessively high ambient temperature • Fan covered • Inverter defective. Check the inverter for heat build up or blockage of the cooler ribs and rectify as required. If this does not correct the problem, contact inverter service
Kaco OS 11 Power limitation: If the generator power is too high, the inverter limits itself to the maximum power (e.g. around noon if the generator capacity is too large). If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 17 The activated grid and system protection has been tripped. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 18 Residual current was detected. The feed-in was interrupted. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 19 There is an insulation fault on the PV generator. The feed-in was interrupted. Please check the DC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 30 The current and voltage measurements in the inverter are not within acceptable range. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 32 The internal grid separation relay test has failed. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 33 The DC feed-in has exceeded the permitted value. This DC feed-in can be caused by grid conditions and may not necessarily indicate a fault. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 34 A communication error has occurred in the internal data transmission. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 35 Protective shutdown of the software (AC overvoltage, AC overcurrent, DC link overvoltage, DC overvoltage, DC overtemperature). Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 36 Protective shutdown of the hardware (AC overvoltage, AC overcurrent, DC link overvoltage). Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 38 The voltage of the DC generator is too high. The PV generator is configured incorrectly. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 40 The voltage of a grid phase is too low; If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 41 the grid cannot be fed into. The phase experiencing failure is displayed. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 42 the grid cannot be fed into. The phase experiencing failure is displayed. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 43 the grid cannot be fed into. The phase experiencing failure is displayed. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 44 the grid cannot be fed into. The phase experiencing failure is displayed. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 45 the grid cannot be fed into. The phase experiencing failure is displayed. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 46 the grid cannot be fed into. The phase experiencing failure is displayed. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 47 The measured line-to-line voltage is outside of the tolerance limits. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 48 Grid frequency is too low. This fault may be grid-related. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 49 Grid frequency is too high. This fault may be grid-related. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 50 The grid voltage measurement according to EN 50160 has exceeded the maximum permitted limit value. This fault may be grid-related. Please check the AC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 57 Waiting time of the inverter after a fault. This text is displayed for in formation purposes only.
Kaco FS 58 The temperature inside the unit was too high. The inverter switches off to prevent damage to the hardware. Check the inverter for heat build up or blockage of the cooler ribs and rectify as required. If this does not correct the problem, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 59 A fault occurred during a self-test. 1.) Switch off device with DC disconnector. 2.) Wait until the display has turned off completely. 3.) Switch on device with DC disconnector. If this does not rectify the error, contact inverter service
Kaco OS 60 The inverter does not begin feeding into the grid until the PV voltage falls below a specified value. Please check the DC wiring and measure. If you consider the wiring to be in order, contact inverter service
Kaco OS 61 The external limit Power control was activated by the grid operator. The inverter limits its power. This text is displayed for in formation purposes only.
Kaco OS 63 P(f)/frequency-dependent power reduction: Frequency-dependent power reduction will be activated when the BDEW (German Association of Energy and Water Industries) Medium Voltage Directive goes into effect. Power reduction starts at a frequency of 50.2 Hz. This text is displayed for in formation purposes only.
Kaco OS 64 Output current limiting: The AC current is limited once the specified maximum value has been reached. This text is displayed for in formation purposes only.
Kaco FS 67 There is a fault in the power section. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 70 The fan is malfunctioning. Visual check: cooling circuit air supply. If the blockage cannot be rectified, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 73 Standalone mode was detected. This text is displayed for in formation purposes only.
Kaco OS 74 The grid operator limits the feed-in power of the inverter. This text is displayed for in formation purposes only.
Kaco OS 79 PV generator’s insulation is being measured This text is displayed for in formation purposes only.
Kaco FS 80 The insulation measurement cannot be performed because the generator voltage is too volatile. This text is displayed for in formation purposes only.
Kaco FS 81, 82, 83 Overvoltage has been detected on a conductor. An internal protective mechanism has disconnected the device to protect it against damage. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 84 A voltage deviation has been found in the DC link. An internal protective mechanism has disconnected the device to protect it against damage. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 85 A voltage deviation has been found in the DC link. An internal protective mechanism has disconnected the device to protect it against damage. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 86 Overvoltage has been found in the DC link. An internal protective mechanism has disconnected the device to protect it against damage. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 87,88,89 A current that has been found on a conductor is too high. An internal protective mechanism has disconnected the device to protect it against damage. If problem occurs repeatedly, contact inverter service
Kaco FS 93,94 The control board is defective. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 95,96 The power section is defective. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 97 Too much power has been fed into the grid. Complete disconnection of the device. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 98 An internal protective mechanism has disconnected the device to protect it against damage. Complete disconnection of the device. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 99 An internal protective mechanism has disconnected the device to protect it against damage. Complete disconnection of the device. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 100 The device has been switched off because the temperatures in the housing were too high. Check temperature of direct surroundings and reduce this as required.
Kaco FS 101 The unit has shut down because of implausible internal measured values. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 102 The unit has shut down because of implausible internal measured values. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 103 The unit has shut down because of implausible internal measured values. Contact inverter service
Kaco FS 104 The unit has shut down because of implausible internal measured values. Contact inverter service
